作曲家/テルミン奏者/選曲家。’90年代にイタリアへ移住。‘98年より10年間、Right Tempo Recordsでディレクター／アーティストとしてイタリアシネジャズのリイシューや、かの香織、東京スカパラダイスオーケストラ、福富幸宏、レイモンドスコット、エスキベル、ペレスプラード等、数多くのリミックスを手がける｡ 2019年、4枚目のオリジナルアルバム”rephase”をリリース｡ 現在公開中のフランス映画”ONODA”のサウンドトラックや、mama! milkの新譜”Charade” に参加｡

92年からDJ活動を始め海外での活動を機に2003年にロンドンのTOMATOのSIMON TAYLORによってLady Something Differentと命名される。都内の主要なクラブや、シンガポール、ジャカルタ、台湾、上海、バンコク、オーストラリア、バリ、ベルギー、パリなどでDJを経験する。自身のレジデントパーティでこれまでにKASKADE、JOHNNY FIASCO、DIZZY、DJ SONAらのシカゴ、ウエストコーストDJを東京に招聘し、そのシーンを広める事に貢献。またラジオ番組「Playground」でパーソナリティをつとめ、子供と一緒にクラブミュージックを楽しめるイベントをコンセプトで同じ名前を冠したアフタヌーンパーティを開催してきた。
Gak Sato
Gak Sato is a musician (Thereminist) and sound artist. Born in Tokyo.In 1993, established the Tokyo band Diet Music, whose tracks were included in the compilation Multidirection 2 (1995 Brownswood/Talkin’ Loud). In ‘90s, Sato moved to Milan. From 1998 to 2008, he was the artistic director of Right Tempo in Milan. He has published 3 original albums and various remixes and has worked with artists of the caliber of Steve Piccolo, Elliott Sharp, and many others.

Kaori’s DJ career started since ’92. In 2003, Simon Taylor from TOMATO UK named her as “DJ Lady Something Different” , under this name she flew off to DJ at many festivals and clubs in Singapore, Bali, Jakarta, Shanghai, Taipei, Bangkok, Australia, Belgium and Paris. She also started her resident party which brought over Johnny Fiasco, Kaskade, Dizzy, DJ Sona to Tokyo introducing the Underground West coast and Chicago house scene when mainly pioneering House music in Japan was from the sounds of New York and Chicago. She started to be part of DJ radio show on Shibuya FM called “Playground” with other female DJs and started same name Sunday afternoon party which they have stated to create a space where moms and kids can enjoy club music at the same time.
