GW後半5月開催のZim Zam Zuにお越し頂きました皆様、誠に有難うございました！皆さん共に我々とゲストの皆さん、MarterとTakeshi Nishimoto、DJしたRobin FluxとCATO CANARIは最高のパーティを堪能出来ました！次回のパーティを7月1日（土）に行う予定で、今回に長年超楽しく、お付き合いさせて頂いているPHONONの熊野功雄と高木健一が率いるアンビエント秘密結社、CHILLAXをお招きさせて頂きます。CHILLAXとは過去に色々な方法で交流させて頂いており、十何年前に熊野さんから頂いた謎の睡眠を促進するディープ・スリープCDをプレゼントされ、一度聴いたら、速攻効果が発揮し熟睡してしまい、その存在をまた数年間忘れるほど効果が抜群。Zim Zam Zu/ Lone Star同僚のMaxとDr. Robと2018年ぐらいから『Oto No Wa』となるコンピレイションの選曲を行なっている最中、脳裏のダークサイドから、奇跡的にその存在が蘇り、思い出し、「Time & Space」を収録する事にする！ またこのご縁で、2021年に開催した『静音』にもライヴをご依頼し、センセーショナルな物議をかます、カオス🈵なライブを披露。Zim Zam Zuとボノボでのライヴは初めてであり、今回Chillaxはどんなライヴを披露するのか楽しみ！ また、ライヴを行う現場でしか販売していないChillax Stoneも既にコレクター・アイテムになっており、お見逃しなく！
ゲストDJとして、今回青山のLoop/ 現Zeroで長寿パーティの一つ、Moovを主催している、コンセプチュアルなファッション・ブランド、Is-nessのディレクターを務めているTomomiと、Max Essaの弟で、注目バレアリック・レーベル、Palms & Charmsを双子の弟、バーニーと主宰しながら、レーベルからCanebrakeとMallorquinの二つの名義で良質な作品を出し続けているSam Bruceを今回のZim Zam Zuに招く。
Thank you very much for all that came down to our last Zim Zam Zu party in the later half of GW in May! Our guests, Marter & Takeshi Nishimoto who performed a splendid live, the DJs, Robin Flux and CATO CANARI as well as us all had a super great time with everyone! And for our next party that will happen on July 1st, Sat., we will be welcoming, the mysterious, super secret ambient society, CHILLAX formed by Isao Kumano who runs PHONON and modular synth wiz, Kenichi Takagi and they are also 2/3 of Tokyo Black Star. I personally have known them for quite a while and it was over 10+ years ago that Isao gave me this deep sleep inducing CD and once I heard of it, I went fast asleep and totally forgot all about the CD’s existence until a few years ago, when I was compiling the compilation that became Oto No Wa with Max and Dr. Rob, from the really back, dark side of my brain, I miraculously remembered its existence and decided to include it in Oto No Wax! This kicked off a flurry of activities for this always asleep dynamic duo, Chillax and I invited them to perform at the ambient music event, Seion along with Inoyamaland, Takashi Kokubo, Ayane Shino, Yakenohara and us 3! The Chillax legend was thus born with their almost Peter Gabriel era Genesis meets Sun Ra meets Blair Witch like performance… So, maybe I caught your attention enough to maybe consider coming over to catch their live at Zim Zam Zu! They are more stranger than the name of this event and only at their gigs, they also sell genuine Chillax Stones! Now collectors items!!
As we also invite as guest DJs, our good friend and great DJ, Tomomi who runs a very cool fashion brand, Is-Ness and leads the long-running party at Loop/ currently at Zero in Aoyama, Moov. We again invite Max’s bro, Sam Canebrake to spin some chilled out sounds at the upstairs tatami room. Looking forward for him to spin some of those tatami bangers!

Tokyo Black Star の 2/3、熊野功雄と高木権一が率いる超秘密謎のアンビエント結社。自身の睡眠を促す音楽を手がけるために結成。熊野は音楽家で、PHONON を主宰。高木権一はシンセサイザー・ナード。彼らは古いアナログ・シンセに対する熱意を共有し、高木はこのプロジェクトに自身独自のシンセ・システムを熊野は独自のサウンド睡眠システムを用いる。Chillax は 2021 年に MusicFor Dreams から発売された『音の和』のコンピレイションで、「Time & Space」を発表し、鮮烈なデビューをする。2022 年ドイツ COMPOST より Arno E.Mathieu の Contemplation V - Livadaki のリミックスを発表。オリジナル音源は 13 年前に友人達にプレゼントし、発売予定は無いそうだ。ライブでは Chillax Stone を購入できる。
The super-secret, mysterious ambient social club led by 2/3 of Tokyo Black Star, Isao Kumano and Kenichi Takagi. Formed to create music to help stimulate deep sleep. Kumano is a musician and also runs the headphone company, PHONON. Kenichi Takagi is a grade A, certified synthesiser nerd. They share a passion for old analog synths, with Takagi using his own synth system for this project and Kumano utilizes his own sound sleeping system. Chillax released their inaugural track, Time & Space' in 2020 on the ‘Oto No Wa compilation compiled by Zim Sam Zu/ Lone Star’s very own, Ken Hidaka, Max Essa and Dr. Rob that was released out of renowned Danish chill out label, Music For Dreams and it was an instant hit. In 2022, Compost Records (Germany) released their remix of Arno E.Mathieu's track, Contemplation V - Livadaki. The original soundtrack of Chillax was given away to friends 13 years ago and there are no plans to release it. Chillax Stone can be purchased whenever they play live.
TOMOMI is-ness/moov
静岡県浜松市生まれ。コンセプチュアルなアパレル・ブランド「is-ness」創設者、ディレクター。DJとして、1997年から青山LOOP/ 現ZEROで開催されている長寿パーティ「moov」を主宰している。
Born in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka. Founder and director of the conceptual Japanese clothing brand "is-ness". As a DJ, he has headed the long-running party "moov" since 1997 at Aoyama LOOP/ currently at ZERO.
Samuel Bruce (Canebrake / Mallorquin / Palms & Charms)
サムは80年代後半にイギリスの南東部でDJを開始。1997年に香港に移住し、ジョン・ミニー（ベティ・フォード・クリニック、ロンドン）と共に、香港で唯一のバレアリック／コズミック・ディスコ／ディープ・ハウス・ナイトをテーマとするパーティ「Twist & Crawl」を開催。2010年から東京を活動拠点を移したサムは、青山Zer0やBonoboなど、東京中のクラブでDJを定期的に行う。2014年に、東京/香港を拠点とするレコード・レーベル「Palms & Charms」（https://palmsandcharms.bandcamp.com/）を弟のバーナビー・ブルースと立ち上げる。Canebrake、Mallorquínの二つの名義でオリジナル楽曲を制作し、自身のレーベルから発表。最新作は『Mallorquín - In The Last Place On Earth (incl. Beatbroker remix)』で、2020年初頭にリリース。
Sam began DJing in the south east of England in the late eighties. Moving to Hong Kong in 1997, he launched the Twist & Crawl parties along with John Minney (Betty Ford Clinic, London), offering the only balearic/cosmic disco/deep house night in the city. Based in Tokyo since 2010, Sam has DJed at venues across the city including Aoyama Zer0 and Bonobo. In 2014 he started the Tokyo/Hong Kong-based record label Palms & Charms (https://palmsandcharms.bandcamp.com/), with his brother Barnaby Bruce. He produces original music under the names Canebrake and Mallorquín. His most recent release was ; Mallorquín – In The Last Place On Earth (incl. Beatbroker remix); comes out in early 2020.
